Pakistan Unleashed is a simulation-first think tank. Every argument on this site is backed by a calculation, every policy recommendation comes with a revenue model, and every projection can be stress-tested by adjusting the underlying assumptions in real time. This is not commentary. This is a working economic model.

Pakistan has been the subject of more crisis coverage than any other economy of comparable size. The narrative of failure is so dominant that the genuine, calculable, data-backed case for transformation rarely gets made. This platform exists to make that case — to investors, to policymakers, to the diaspora, and to Pakistanis themselves who deserve to see what is possible.

The simulation models were built from publicly available data — World Bank, IMF, FBR, SBP, PBS, NEPRA — and calibrated against Pakistan's actual 2024 baseline figures. The calculations are transparent, the assumptions are documented, and the methodology is available for review in full on the Data page.

About the author

Muhammad Bilal is an engineer, AI architect, and founder based in Sharjah, UAE. A Pakistani national with over fourteen years of experience building production technology systems, he is the Global AI Ambassador for the UAE and CTO at the Global AI Forum (GAFAI). He is the founder of GeoBlood — a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit blood donor platform backed by Apple, Microsoft, and Google, operating across four countries.

This project grew out of a question that seemed simple but had no satisfying answer in the literature: if Pakistan adopted UAE-style tax architecture, what would the GDP impact be? The models were first built as an analytical exercise before evolving into the comprehensive eleven-sector blueprint this site and the accompanying book represent.

Muhammad Bilal is the author of ten published books spanning artificial intelligence governance, economic policy, technology entrepreneurship, and fiction — including The AI Codex, VC Decoded, and The Executor: A Study of Shehbaz Sharif. The simulation models are calibrated against publicly available data from the World Bank, IMF, FBR, SBP, and PBS — all sources documented in full on the Data page.

Step 1 — The Question

A single question with no satisfying answer

Started with: if Pakistan adopted UAE-style tax architecture, what would the GDP impact be? Every existing analysis offered opinion. None offered a formula. So one was built.

11 sector models built from scratch

One sector model became two, became five, became eleven. Each calibrated against Pakistan's 2024 baseline data from FBR, SBP, PBS, NEPRA, World Bank, and IMF. Each with transparent formulas and documented assumptions.

Every variable adjustable in real time

The models were connected into a master dashboard — every variable adjustable in real time, every output updating live. The goal: make the economic case interactive, not just readable.

Findings written as a policy blueprint

The simulation findings were written up as Pakistan Unleashed: The Blueprint for the World's Next Great Economy — a book that makes the data-backed case for Pakistan's transformation, chapter by chapter, sector by sector.
